Hello everyone and welcome to the second devlog for Molten Knight, our dark fantasy card roguelike.
First of all ā good news!
Thank to your support and early interest, development has officially began. Very soon I will be able to share with you sketches, gameplay and mechanics as they take shape
Today, I let's talk about archetypes, which are the identities that shape how you play.
Whatās an Archetype?
In Molten Knight, archetype is a set of cards built around an unique mechanic. They are not only builds, but reflections of your cursed identity.
I have planned three archetypes which will guide the development of Act 1
PAth of Fire - Walking Forge
you will burn to strike
Built around heat, this path will reward agression, with a risk of overheating. The cards will revolve around burning weapons, molten strikes and pressure to win the fight quickly.
Path of Blood - The Bloodbound
You will draw from your blood
Your blood is your power.Ā Spend it to unleash devastating magic, restore your strength, or trigger ancient rituals that demand sacrifice.
Path of DecayĀ ā The Paincaster
Each step a wound, Each choice... A scar
Control the battlefield with rot, poison, and torment. Stack debuffs and damage-over-time to slowly unmake your enemies.
